About Us
Founded in 2014 by Nonhlnhla Mkhwanazi, Bathandekayo Day Care Centre is located opposite the Ithute Primary School in Alexandra, Johannesburg. It is a registered Not-for-profit organisation that provides quality day care at reasonable prices for students who come from largely financially disadvantaged families. The centre accepts children between the ages of 2 months and 6 years. The daycare centre reflects the vibrant energy of the area by providing students an engaging and interactive learning environment.
We provide 4 meals a day, including breakfast, lunch and 2 snacks. Our students are divided into 2 groups: "SMALL" for students under the age of 2 years, and "BIG" for students above the age of 2 years. Our 'SMALL' batch specialises in providing the extra delicate care that the toddlers require.

Support Us
We are a registered not-for-profit organisation and our goal is to ensure a good experience for the children who are under our care. These children come from families with very limited financial means, and parents don't often pay on time. However, we do our best to make sure that the child's learning continues. For this, we need sponsorship for items that create the appropriate environment that enables kids to learn and enjoy themselves.
We require items such as:
Blankets
Toys
Mattresses
Stationery
Chairs
Financial assistance (for various purposes such as teachers' training and basic infrastructure upgrade to our centre)
